I will leave you with a verse that I always pondered about. If there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism…which way should we believe and how should we be baptized? (Immerse, sprinkle, annoint, pour, at what age? 2, 5, 7, 11? By whom can perform this ordinance? Theology degree holder, local pastor who invested in creating a church in his town, my father, someone who was chosen by God (such as John who baptized Jesus?) Just something to ponder…
Eph. 4: 4-7
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
From my search of what makes humans tick (or not!), I came accross this quote that overwhelmingly makes sense! It tugs at my fibre! It is by Alan Weiss and is this: “Logic makes people think, emotion makes them act”. Emotion content is a sine qua non ingredient if you want to gain committment to a cause. Otherwise you get compliance. Compliance is as a candle. It runs out after it burns out!
